Lawn & snow

Let's get started on your service request.

Tell us about the job. Operators near you send their price. You pick the one that works for your budget. Nothing is charged until you accept a quote.

Operators need to know before they open a gate. If an animal is loose and the operator cannot work, it counts as a late cancellation.

Under snow an operator cannot see any of this. Gravel and cords wreck a blower, and a raised slab is a trip hazard for whoever walks it next.

Tell them which walks and paths you want cleared. The more they know, the fewer surprises on the day.

Storm response and same-day work, completed within 24 hours. An emergency surcharge starting at $85 applies, on top of the cost of the work itself, which depends on the size of your lot. The full amount is shown in the quote before you accept anything. Urgent requests go only to operators rated 3.0 and above.

Free to ask. Nothing is charged until you accept a quote.

How it works

A marketplace, not a lawn company · free to ask · nothing charged until you accept

01

Describe the job

Tell us the address, what you need done, and anything an operator should know. Add a photo or two of the property and you will get a sharper price.

02

Operators quote it

You see the top three quotes, each one showing the operator's rating and whether they carry insurance.

03

You pick one

Choose the quote that suits you, or choose none of them. Nothing is charged either way.

04

Paid when it's done

Your payment is held until the work is finished and photographed.
What happens after you book

+ How the pricing and payment actually work

Photos get you a better price

An operator pricing from a lot size is guessing. A wide shot of the area to be worked on tells them what they are actually taking on, which means a tighter quote and fewer surprises on the day. Operators quoting your job can see the photos before you choose one, so leave out house numbers and number plates. We never use them in advertising unless you tick the box saying we can.

Why there's no set price

No two properties are the same, so operators quote what the job actually takes. Some publish a rate card and quote instantly; others price it by hand and follow shortly after.

What you're comparing

We show the top three quotes, ranked on price, rating and availability together. Every quote states the operator's rating, the number of jobs behind it, and whether they carry liability insurance. Insurance is not required for residential work, so some operators carry it and some do not. You will always be told which, and you can open the full list if more operators quoted.

What NoMowSnow is responsible for

Two things: connecting you with operators covering your area, and handling the money. Your payment is held and released to the operator once the job is done and the photo is uploaded. The work itself is an agreement between you and the operator you chose.

Who you are hiring

NoMowSnow is a marketplace, not a lawn or snow company. We do not employ operators, we do not send crews, and we do not perform the work. Operators are independent businesses who set their own prices and choose their own jobs.

Urgent work costs more

Storm response and same-day work carry an emergency surcharge set by NoMowSnow, starting at $85. The cost of the work itself is added on top and varies with the size of your lot. You see the full amount in the quote and still choose whether to accept. Urgent requests go only to operators rated 3.0 and above, and the work must be completed within 24 hours of the operator accepting it.

Messaging stays on the platform

You and the operator message through NoMowSnow rather than swapping phone numbers. They can ask about access or a gate code, you can ask when they are coming, and neither of you gives out personal contact details. The thread is kept, so there is a record if anything is disputed.

You have a rating too

After every job the operator rates you, the same as you rate them. It covers the things that make a job workable: whether the property matched what you described, whether they could actually get in, and whether anything on site was a surprise.

Your rating is shown to operators when they decide whether to quote, so a good one gets you more quotes and better ones. Neither rating is visible until both are in, so nobody is rating in reply to the other.

The work

Every job ends with a photo

Operators close out by uploading proof. You see exactly what was done whether or not you were home, and it settles any question about the work later.

What you'll see

Every quote shows the operator's rating

You see the top three quotes, each with the operator's rating, how many jobs it is based on, and whether they carry liability insurance. Sorting on price alone would send every job to whoever bids lowest, so quotes are ranked on price, rating and availability together. You can re-sort them however you like.

After you accept

What happens next

Choosing a quote is the halfway point. Here is the rest of it, so nothing about the day of the job is a surprise.

  1. Your payment is held, not paid

The amount you accepted is collected and held by NoMowSnow. The operator does not receive it yet. Your street address is released to them at this point, and not before.

  2. You agree the timing together

A message thread opens between you and the operator. They already have the access notes you gave, so this is for settling the day and time and anything that has changed since. You never exchange phone numbers.

  3. Change of plan? Cancel up to an hour before

You can cancel free of charge until one hour before the agreed start time. Inside that hour the operator is usually already travelling to you, so the booking stands.

  4. They arrive and do the work

You do not need to be home. Make sure they can get in: unlock the gate, move the car, bring the dog inside. If something stops them working, they message you rather than guessing.

  5. You get a photo when it is done

The operator closes the job by uploading a completion photograph. It arrives with a timestamp, so you can see the work whether or not you were there.

  6. Payment is released and you both rate

The held payment goes to the operator. You rate them on the work; they rate you on access and whether the property matched the description. Neither rating shows until both are in.

If something is not right

Raise it within 48 hours of the job being marked complete and the payment stays held while it is looked at. Message the operator first, since most problems are a misunderstanding about scope and get fixed the same day.

If you cannot settle it between you, NoMowSnow mediates. We ask both sides for their account, look at the job record, the completion photograph and the message thread, and make a decision within 14 days. The money does not move until then, and you are both told the outcome and the reason for it.

If an operator accepts an urgent job and does not complete it within 24 hours, your payment is returned to the card you paid with, less any payment handling fee. How long it takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank. You are free to post the job again straight away.

Every season

Every season, NoMowSnow has the operator you need

These are the same walks at the same property, photographed three months apart. Most properties juggle a mowing vendor and a plow vendor and hope the handoff works. One account covers the whole year instead.

For operators

Turn every block in your neighborhood into a chance to earn cash

Set your own price for your work and the days that you're available. The more reliable you are, the more you can earn.

No lead fees

Lead-generation sites bill you whether or not you win the job. We never charge for a lead, only a share of work you completed and were paid for.

Set your price

Publish a rate card or quote each job by hand. Either way the number is yours, never ours.

You get paid

Payment is collected before you start and released when you finish. No chasing a homeowner for a check in February.

Work every season

The same customers need mowing in June and plowing in January. One account, twelve months.

You rate them too

Blocked driveways, wrong lot size, a dog nobody mentioned. Rate the customer and the next operator sees it before quoting.

Licensed

Licensing opens more work

Applying weed control or fertilizer commercially requires a state applicator license . It isn't optional, and unlicensed operators simply won't see those requests.

Get licensed and treatment, feeding and turf work appear in your feed alongside mowing. That work prices well above a cut, and far fewer operators can quote it.

Insured

Insurance wins you customers

We don't require liability insurance for residential work. But carry it, upload the certificate, and an Insured badge sits on every quote you send.

Associations and property managers frequently won't hire without it, and plenty of homeowners choose it over a cheaper bid. You set your own price, so you're free to price your credentials in.

Licensing requirements vary by state and by service. We verify what you upload; keeping it current is on you.

All twelve

We service the property all twelve months

Snow from November through March. Mowing, beds and cleanups from April through October. In the fall or spring we rake and remove leaves, and we trim hedges. Same property, same account, no gap where nobody shows up.
